3-2-1 Summary

3 Things i Learned:

1. The Archduke Franz Ferdinand and wife were assassinated by a Serbian nationalist.
2. Otto Von Bismark was known as the father of Germany, and planned to isolate France by creating alliances with Austria-Hungary, Russia, and Italy.
3. Serbia was an independent nation at the time of the assassination, not under Austria-Hungary rule.

2 Things that Interested me:

1. The Balkans were known as "The Powder Keg of Europe", because they were made up of different ethnic groups.
2. The Armenian Massacre was the first modern day genocide, murdering over 600,000 Armenians.

1 Question I still have:

1. Did the United States ever get their $33 billion back that we loaned Germany to the reparations back to the allies?
